About the Pelvic Floor Fitness Course:

Developed by Continence Foundation of Australia, the national peak body for bladder and bowel control, the Pelvic Floor Fitness course is designed specifically for fitness professionals including group fitness instructors, personal fitness instructors, yoga teachers and Pilates instructors.

Extra care needs to be taken when designing fitness programs for clients at risk of, or with, pelvic floor dysfunction. Pelvic floor dysfunction can affect both males and females, and it’s important to understand how to safely support their different needs.

The Pelvic Floor Fitness Course provides learners with an in-depth understanding of the pelvic floor muscles, their importance, and how to modify exercises for the pelvic floor safety of clients.

Course Content:

The self-paced course takes about 4-hours to complete, and covers important information for all fitness professionals including:
  • The pelvic floor and its function
  • Pelvic floor dysfunction
  • Getting pelvic floor exercises correct
  • Changing exercise programs to support clients at risk
  • Exercise modifications
  • Motivating and assisting clients

Purpose: Gaining knowledge to assist in the development of effective and safe fitness programs for clients at risk of, or with, pelvic floor dysfunction 
Duration : 4 hours (with 90 days access from date of purchase)
